Over to you!

This week at work we did an activity designed to help our team get to know each other better. Everyone asked each other a bunch of questions – some personal, some work-related, some completely random – and everyone else had to answer. It was a surprisingly fast way to form a connection with one another and by the end we were all smiling.

The exercise made me wonder about our readers; your needs and desires. So, this week, you do the talking! Answer our seven questions in the comments section (with the number next to the question so that everyone knows which question you’re answering) and share with your friends. If you want to participate anonymously that’s completely ok, it’ might be cathartic 😉

We can’t wait to get to know you all better, and for you to get to know each other too. Have fun!

xx

  1. * What is your favourite destination on the internet and why?
    – Tough question. I tend to cycle through reddit, dailylife, the guardian and twitter.

    * What would you never do again?
    – Fall in love with a stoner.

    * What is your secret dream?
    – To travel the world as a writer.

    * You can invite three people to a dinner party, dead or alive. Who do you invite and why?
    – David Bowie. He seemed like an untouchable aesthete but he was actually a massive goof ball.
    – Amelia Earhart. Unapologetic trailblazing badass. Yes, she probably crashed into a deserted island or the pacific ocean but there’s something admirable about a woman who pledged to fly around the world when women were still so under the patriarchal thumb.
    – Socrates. He could win any argument by deconstructing a person’s flawed beliefs and genuinely didn’t care for aesthetics or anything pretentious. Sentenced to death for being controversial.

    * What is your favourite characteristic?
    – I used to really admire charisma, but the older I get the more I appreciate people who are considerate and empathetic.

    * Who is a person in your life that you understand the least?
    – Specifically, I don’t really have anyone to mention here, but more generally, I don’t understand climate change deniers.

    * What is your prophecy for the world?
    – The robots will take over. It’ll be too late to repair the damage we’ve all done environmentally. Our children will be the last generation to enjoy the world as it is. New and terrifying diseases will spawn from overuse of antibiotics. Resistance to globalisation mobilised via extremist religion and racism to lead to war. Very bleak.
